Mr. Mark Mortimer
Mark was born in Palma de Mallorca, Spain in 1969. He attended elementary, middle, and high school in Powell, Wyoming; graduating from Powell High School in 1987. He continued his education earning a Bachelor of Science Degree in Physical and Health Education (K-12) from the University of Wyoming in 1994. Mark also earned a Masters Degree in Education from Grand Canyon University in 2003.
Mark Mortimer is currently in his first year as the Activities Director along with teaching Physical Education at Worland High School. Mark is beginning his 22nd year teaching in Worland. He taught Physical Education for 14 years at the elementary level, 4 years at the middle school, and is in his 4th year teaching at Worland High School. Over 22 years Mark has coached basketball, baseball, football, and track at various levels. Mark has been a part of 5 State Championships in Worland history; 4 as an assistant coach (Worland Indians Legion Baseball, 1998 and Worland High School Football, 2001 - 2003), and 1 as a head coach (Worland High School - Lady Warrior Basketball, 2015-2016).
Mark enjoys spending his free time attempting to be physically fit, camping, fishing, hunting, hiking, playing video games, and gardening with his wife of 23 years Kitty; and his 3 sons; Sean, Will, and Luke.
